本校创立于一九二八年。前身乃位于本坡谐街广肇会馆对面。由甲必丹叶观盛先生向政府建议所设立之[ 唐文义学 ]。初时由粤人徐绍荪君主持校政，专收华童之贫苦者。该义校全属旧式之蒙馆性质。迨至一九二六年， 陈君葆先生任马来联邦华校视学之职，逐向本州政府建议，将该义校加以扩充，改建为[ 雪兰莪州立小学 ]。旋得本州议员朱嘉炳先生，太平局绅叶大池先生等竭力呼吁。及本州教育当局窝里先生之赞许，于是政府拨地建立新校舍，即今之德威伸路八打灵山麓之校址 也。

Founded in 1928. JALAN DAVIDSON is one of Kuala Lumpur’s oldest schools ever stood the test of time. Wall Tailor have been grateful to be able to provide an innovative product to improve our local children learning environment. Way to go, Wall Tailor’s second government school checked!
